The New Pantheon (2022-) is an Afrobaroque project, rooted in the vision and practice of Afrofuturism, and a commentary on our human and post-human identity, and on the future of race and sexuality. The New Pantheon an immersive multimedia environment featuring a series of thirteen large-scale wall installations, with life-size, monumental portraits of intersex divinities at their heart, and develops an entirely new iconography for each of them, drawing on pagan, Vodou, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim motifs and symbolism. |
